I can't believe this! Na wa o!, just when I was feeling proud about Nigeria's Gold medals...
16 year old teenager, Chika Amalaha, who won gold in the women's weightlifting at the Commonwealth games last Friday 25th,July 2014 has been suspended after her 'A' sample test result revealed amiloride and hydrochlorothiazide, both prohibited and known masking agents. She is the first athlete to fail the test at the games.
Sir Craig Reedle, World Anti Doping Agency President expressed his shock, "I am very disappointed that somebody as young as that appears to have committed an offence at a multi-sport event like the Commonwealth Games"
I am disappointed too..
